We have to inform you that we have received from the War Office a claim for payment in respect of the supply of stores as detailed in the attached copies of issue vouchers.

The amounts claimed are as follows:

Reqn. S/Hong Kong 125/1, 5 & 7 Indent D1/1 dated 18.12.45.

£6825.12.1d.

Plus 10% Departmental expenses.

S/Hong Kong 123/33 - Indent D2/2 dated 31.12.45.

£ 580.-.-.

Plus 10% Departmental expenses.

The War Office is also claiming repayment of a sum of £1516.-.8a. plus 10% departmental expenses in respect of the supply of 10,000 tubs, washing or feeding 22 gallons, which were apparently Copies shipped direct to Hong Kong by the War Office in May, 1046. of the relevant issue vouchers are enclosed.

We cannot trace that settlement has previously been made but in view of the time which has elapsed since supply of the items, we shall be glad to receive your confirmation that we may pay for them (i.e. the stores under Indents D1/1 and D2/2 of 1945 and also the 10,000 washing tubs shipped by the War Office).
